Well, wasn't THAT a collapse. The Leafs had a quick THREE goal lead but lost 6-5 in a shoot-out. It's true, a bad ref's call cost them a goal but there's really no excuse for that performance. They got the lead and then took the night off. The Monster...wasn't. He got slaughtered in the shoot-out. Maybe it has something to do with their slogan: "Spirit is Everything". (I always thought that to a professional sports team, WINNING is everything.) There was plenty of spirit on the ice last night. They totally dominated the 'Canes...for a while. So while they may leave fans frustrated, I guess they're living up to their slogan. They're not winning.
