With all of the blogging, Facebook updates and Tweeting going on in the world, this generation will take a huge step backwards. I'm not just talking about self-obsessed techno-zombies who text constantly - oblivious to the people, cars, and danger surrounding them. No, I mean a step backwards in PROGRESS. We're far too interested in telling everybody what's on our minds. Productivity that, even 10 years ago, would have been devoted to work, hobbies, or recreation, is now being eaten up by unremarkable people sharing vapid thoughts. Didn't get enough attention when you were young? No problem. Just open a Twitter account and start over-compensating. Frankly, I'm not one of these people who HAS to blog. I'm not bubbling over with wisdom that I need to share everyday. It's quite the opposite. I would rather be DOING than blogging. (Otherwise, what would I blog about?) So, the day is coming when I abandon blogging completely. No big deal. I have so few readers I wouldn't be missed for long.
