This house used to have a big problem: the previous owner. He made some really strange - downright stupid decisions. The worst could have been neglecting to install air vents to the upper floor when they renovated. Instead, they stuck on some baseboard heaters. In the summer, the upstairs is sweltering...or, it was. I installed a portable air conditioner. This thing is terrific. I have it in the studio and it cools the place off very fast. The remote is a nice touch. I can also wheel it into the tv room. The only downsides are it's noisy and it's the size of a beer fridge. But I can live with that. Upstairs has never been this comfortable during a heat wave before.
