Here Come The Mummies

There's a 9-piece band out of Nashville that blows me away: Here Come The Mummies. They play tight R&B, funk, disco and rock - all draped head-to-toe in mummy wrappings. The lead singer reminds me of Rob Thomas on speed. The horn section is phenominal. Sadly, some of the tunes are a bit banal and beneath the level of the players' talent. Other songs though, are timeless classics. It's college humour with amazing playing. Watch for them. After, they're coming...
