Shrinking Returns

When I first moved here, I ate constantly. From the time I got home from work until bed, I was stuffing my face until I ballooned to 260 pounds. I was horrified and shoved the insulting scale as far under the bed as it would slide. I decided to take action. I stopped buying certain things. Instead of licorice, I'd buy a bag of grapes. Instead of Pringles, I'd buy strawberries. I'd still snack, but it was a completely guilt-free experience. Instead of a full meal for supper, I'd have a fruit smoothy. Maybe even two. This practise started about a year ago. Since that time, I knew I'd lost some weight because all my pants got saggy and my belt needed two new holes. Well, today I decided to see what's what. I dragged out that dusty scale and weighed myself for the first time in ages. 205. So, I've lost 55 pounds without really trying - and I plan to lose a few more...
