Unexpected Movie Fun
Date:
2010-10-18
Yesterday, after I had applied the final coat of cement paint on the front steps, there was nothing on the tube. I mean...nothing. Flipping around the movie channels - always a last resort, I eventually stopped on a movie that was just starting: "Role Models". I decided to see if that Stifler guy was any good outside of the American Pie franchise. Well, I'm not a person who laughs out loud at movies. A smile, sure. An occasional snort...perhaps. But during "Role Models", I actually laughed - several times! It's one of the funnier movies I've seen in a very long time. The major players are all fine, but there are some hilarious character performances - especially during the "battle" sequences. It's not for everybody, just like "American Pie" wasn't. But for a hundred minutes of mind-off fun, you can't beat it.
