Oh no! Mayor Rob Ford has angered a noisy splinter of the population. Mayor Ford had the temerity to choose going to his family's cottage in Huntsville rather than marching in the Gay Parade. Ford made enemies by playing the "family" card. Yes, he chose to be with his FAMILY. (Oh, they hate that word "family". If Ford had said he was celebrating Pride Week at his cottage with a bevy of boy-toys, nothing would have been said.) Evoking the word "family" gets to these family-phobes. They scream insults. Not attending their party seems to be the worst thing a mayor can do. Apparently, they believe that when you become Mayor of Toronto, you become THEIRS. That may have been true in the Miller years, but there's a new sherrif in town. And it's not one of the Village People.
