Immersed in Pink Floyd

It's happened again. Misters Gilmour, Rogers, Mason and Wright have convinced me to buy "Dark Side of the Moon". AGAIN. Let's see - I bought the vinyl album in 1973. In 1978, "half-speed masters" of Pink Floyd's albums were offered to serious audiophiles only. (I still have two - played once.) When 8-tracks came out, DSotM and Meddle were my first purchases. When CD's reared their digital heads, I was among the first to experience the thrill of hearing "Dark Side" for what seemed like the first time. The next platform was the DVD - followed by a host of remastered CD's. And I was there every step of the way...with my wallet fully exposed.
Now, there's a new Pink Floyd offering in the stores. They have re-mastered the original DSotM tapes into 5.1 surround. They've also included quad mixes of the album, a documentary, a live concert from 1972, and more bits and pieces than absolutely necessary. It's called the "immersion" package - and for the past 2 days, that just about describes what I've been doing...
