As the police and city workers cleaned up Toronto's formerly "occupied" park, Dublin's own Sid Ryan (currently president of the Ontario Federation of Labour) lead a "protest march" past the very mess HE and his ilk helped create. I say, he would have done a lot more for the labour party if, instead of getting his people to carry resentful packards, he told them to roll up their sleeves and JOIN HIM in the clean-up. They could have demonstrated that they understand the ramifications - and that they're prepared to work toward solutions. When asked if the OFL would chip in financically to help clean up the park, he called it "a ridiculous notion".
No, Sid Ryan really doesn't get it.
