Canada's Got Talent?! Then, SHOW ME!

By now, you've probably seen those promos for Canada's Got Talent. (Hell, they come at us twice per commercial break!)
In a show about talent, I wonder why they go out of their way to expose us to NONE of it. Think about it - Martin Short (just this side of Ed Grimley) and the other..."people" do a shrieking, horrible sing-along. I suspect it's considered an "edgy" approach. As for me, I call it crap.

i am unable to bring myself to punish my ears to that extent ... i have not tuned to reality singing competitions since i caught a few minutes of The Voice .... ouch !!
