I just watched City Slickers for the first time in years... What an incredibly moving film. Sure, it's silly and a bit dated, but I think it's a real modern-day classic. If you haven't seen it in a while, maybe it's time.
When it first came out, I saw myself as the Billy Crystal character. Twenty years later, I see I was really one of the other guys. (I'll let you guess which one.) But, the whole idea of finding that "one thing" is what we're all looking for. Some never find it. Some never look. And some find it temporarily - only to have it taken away. However, I believe that if you know enough to ask the question (and are willing to face the answer), you HAVE to come through it a better, stronger, more interesting person.
