CRAP Shot

Finally, after all these years, I watched "Slap Shot". I was in college when it was released but it never appeared on my radar...until this weekend. I've packed up all my movies so I've been cruising the clearance bins for stuff to watch. "Slap Shot" was on for less than $10 so I figured, "Why not?"
Not long into the film, I started to wonder why this flick has been called "one of the best sports films ever made". About half-way through, there's a looong scene with two ladies in a hair salon talking about re-la-tion-ships. I couldn't help it...I spontaneously screamed: "OH MY GOD!!!" completely shocking my movie companion. It was at this point I realised this movie is CRAP. I stayed to the bitter end, barely, but what a waste of time - and an even bigger waste of Paul Newman.
For a hockey film that's actually FUNNY, pick up: "Goon". (Everything they lied to us about Slap Shot is actually true about Goon!)
